This Transitional Navajo weaving was made for the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona, circa 1900. Woven from hand-carded and handspun wool, it combines natural wool colors with aniline red accents in a bold geometric design that reflects the evolving styles of the early trading post era. An excellent example of an early Ganado weaving and an important period in Navajo weaving history.
